Arizona Stronghold honored for label?s high elevation wines at Arizona Republic Wine Competition, Jefferson Cup Invitational, Sunset and Houston Rodeo International Wine Competitions
?Arizona Stronghold Vineyards has been recognized with more than 30 awards this year for the label?s wines, yielded from fruit grown in Arizona?s high desert.
In November this year, Arizona Stronghold was awarded the Class Champion Double Gold at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo? 2013 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition for its 2010 Mangus, a Sangiovese blend.
Held November 10?11, nearly 2,900 wines from 943 wineries were judged at this year?s Rodeo wine competition. Arizona Stronghold?s 2011 Tazi, an aromatic white blend, took home a gold medal, while the 2011 Dala Chardonnay, 2011 Mandala white ? a Roussanne, and 2011 Nachise ? a Rh?ne blend were recognized with silver medals.
The Arizona label also took home awards this year from the Arizona Republic Wine Competition and the Jefferson Cup Invitational Wine Competition ? continuing to make a mark on both the national and international winemaking scene for wines made in the Grand Canyon state.

Arizona Stronghold?s vineyards, located in southeastern Arizona about?15 miles south of Willcox, grow at elevations up to 6,000 feet above sea level. Its?winery is located in Northern Arizona, in Camp Verde, with its tasting room in Cottonwood, Arizona.

The winery was co-founded by Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of the rock band Tool and owner of Merkin Vineyards and Caduceus Cellars, and Eric Glomski, owner and director of winemaking of Page Springs Cellars.
