Cleo the four year old Miniature Bull Terrier is the sweetest dog on the planet. She is 100% toilet trained, walks well on the lead and loves to play with other dogs in the park. But Cleo is different.
At just four years of age Cleo has severe secondary glaucoma and has had one eye removed and is blind in the other. This happy little girl has been on foster over the holiday period and during that time her carer Diana has made short videos and taken photos of her progress. Cleo is now looking for a new home with a special family who will treat her like a normal dog but still be considerate of her special needs.
Cleo?s foster carer sums up her time with Cleo below.
Cleo is our foster dog.
The most well natured dog you will find.
She wags her tail at the?slightest thing.
Despite being totally blind.
She loves going for walks in any park.
And often takes off for a run.
The feel of grass beneath her paws.
Are telling her this is fun.
She conquers a new challenge every day.
Like walking up the stairs.
But walking down still scares her,
As she doesn?t know what?s there.
Last week end we had visitors
With a dog the same age and frame
They played tug of war all day
It was their favourite game.
Some things still scare her
Like machines or a noisy car
But that too she will conquer
As this girl is a star.
