Our chilly breezes over the past couple of days finally died down a bit today.? It?s been a quiet, mild afternoon.? You?ve probably noticed the high clouds increasing from the west.? It will be a partly to mostly cloudy night for us.? Thursday, with partly sunny skies, we?ll see temperatures shoot up into the 70s again.

A huge upper level low continues to swirl in the Pacific Ocean this afternoon.? This system will be the one that gives us a shot at rain over the weekend.? Once it moves ashore in the Pacific Northwest, our computer information available goes up and we?ll have a better handle on the timing of the weekend rain.
?
Right now it appears the best chance of rain will be early Sunday morning in the DFW area.? But showers should develop west of the Metroplex late Saturday afternoon.
?
The storms early Sunday could be strong, but they are arriving at a time when we won?t have the sun energy in the equation to aid in severe weather.? Let?s hope we get some get soakers because most of the area is still in a major drought.
?
Rain and storms will push off the east during the morning hours Sunday but there still could be some activity in our eastern areas for Sunday afternoon.
?
Skies should clear altogether by Sunday night and the first half of next week looks pretty docile.? Temperatures will cool down for Monday but should warm back up to above normal levels after that.
