Take a Fall Day Trip | Marshfield Real Estate

Extended Day Program ? Registration continues for the? licensed after school child care programs. Care is provided for students in? grades kindergarten through five. Additionally, theme Vacation Clubs are offered? for all town children in grades kindergarten through five. The Recreation? Department operates three sites, the Martinson site is full, however space is? currently available at the Governor Winslow School and the Recreation Child Care? Center 14 Library Plaza. Fall brochure ? The Fall Community Brochure is available on? the Recreation Department home page. Mail in and or walk in registration begins? when the brochure is accessed. A limited number of hard copies of the Fall? Community Brochure are available at the following locations: Town Hall, Denny?s? Barber Shop, Ventress Memorial Library, elementary schools, Seaside Homes of? Marshfield, Molise Realty and the Recreation office.

Find the mistake winner ? Congratulations to Holly Sullivan.? Holly was the first person to call the office and report one of the mistakes? that we placed in the brochure. Holly is the winner of a Marshfield Recreation? sweatshirt and coffee mug.

TRIPS

New Hampshire and the White Mountains ? Sunday, Oct. 16.? Enjoy a day-long outing to beautiful New Hampshire. Travelers will leave early? morning, via deluxe lav-equipped motor coach. The day trip will include: All You? Can Eat Sunday Brunch in the Ledges Dining Room at the White Mountain Resort, a? one-hour train ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad through the Mt. Washington? Valley, time for shopping in North Conway Village and more. Leave from the? Recreation child care center early morning with a late afternoon return. Cost:? $79 per person.

Christmas in Newport ? Sunday, Dec. 4. Enjoy a day-long? outing to Newport, leaving early morning, via deluxe lav-equipped motor coach.? This day trip will include: Admission to two historical mansions decorated for? the holidays, a 10-mile scenic coastal drive of Newport, brunch at the Atlantic? Beach Club, time for shopping and browsing at the Brick Market Place and a visit? to La Salette Shrine lighting display and more. Leave from Recreation child care? center, 14 Library Plaza in the morning and return early evening. Fee is $89 per? person.

Boston Celtics Basketball ? Sunday, Nov. 20. Enjoy a Boston? Celtics basketball game this season as the Celtics take on the Golden State? Warriors. The bus will leave from the Recreation Child Care Center, 14 Library? Plaza at 1:30 p.m. for the 3:30 game, and return by 7 p.m. Cost includes? transportation and seating. Students welcome when accompanied by an adult. Fee? is $75 per person.

Boston Pops Holiday Performance ? Symphony Hall, Boston.? Enjoy holiday music with the Boston Pops. Bus will leave from the Recreation? Child Care Center, 14 Library Plaza at 2 p.m. for the 4 p.m. performance and? return by 7:30 p.m. Cost includes transportation and first balcony seating. Fee? is $65 per person.

Pre-school programs ? Ice skating, soccer, Kiddie Cat Jam.? Drop in programs for age 1 through 2.9 and 3 through 5: Little Athletes, ski and? snowboard lessons. Tennis lessons on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Youth and teen programs ? Karate lessons for both girls and? boys; wrestling; horseback riding clinic; street hockey league; after school? sports; fencing, tennis, rock climbing, baby sitting training class, ski and? snowboard lessons.

Adults ? Volleyball, tennis, yoga, basketball, badminton,? fencing, archery, Better than Boot Camp Fitness Program and more.

Adult volunteers ? Help with grounds work, building? birdhouses, clearing the trails, etc. are needed.

Mason wanted ? The Recreation Department is still looking? for a mason to help with repairs to the skate park.

Lost but not found ? There are many items that have been? left at various summer program sites. If missing something, give the Recreation? office a call. Any items that have not been clamed by Friday, Sept. 30, will be? donated to various community organizations.
